Hey,
I need to tell you something that made me feel a certain way this week.
New research came out measuring how much people trust content made by AI versus content made by a real person. AI-generated content scored a 3 out of 5 on trust. Human-created content? 4.5.
And I sat with that number for a minute. Because that is exactly why I built this.
I use AI every single day. I use it to research tax law changes. I use it to plan my content calendar. I use it to draft outlines and organize my ideas. I am not anti-AI! I am the AI Auntie. I teach y'all how to use these tools because they are powerful and they save time and they make building a business by yourself actually possible.
But here is what AI cannot do.
It cannot tell you what it feels like to sit across from someone who owes the IRS $14,000 and is shaking because she thinks her life is over. I can tell you that because I have been in that chair.
It cannot tell you what it is like to wake up and not know if your body is going to let you work today. I can tell you that because I have been living with lupus since I was 14.
It cannot tell you what it is like to explain to your 6-year-old why today is a "quiet body" day because mama's joints are on fire and she still has to show up. I can tell you that because Chloe and I live that.
The data is confirming what I already knew …the tools are the tools. But the trust comes from the person. The lived experience. The real stories. The voice that makes you feel like someone finally gets it.
That is what this newsletter is. That is what the AI Auntie is. I use AI to build it. But the reason you trust it is because of everything I have lived through to get here.
So the next time someone tells you AI is going to replace creators and educators and the women out here doing this work …you tell them trust scores a 4.5 and no algorithm is getting there without a real human behind it.
AI helps me build it. My experience is why you trust it. Remember that.
One thing to try this week:
The IRS just launched a free tool that helps you figure out how to deal with tax debt — no login, no Social Security number, no personal info required. If you or someone you know owes back taxes and has been too scared to deal with it, go to irs.gov/payments/get-help-with-tax-debt. I wrote a full breakdown on the blog — [read it here].
Until next week,
Lohnnie …Your AI Auntie
